You are NOT alone

Today I heard about a local headmistress who hung herself and it really upset me.

I have been thinking about what she must have been going through and how she must have felt to come to that decision and action. There were comments from others that she seemed so happy. It is exactly this sort of problem we need to get rid of.

We need to help people say when they are drowning, give them space to be able to ask for help and not judge them when they do need help.

She left two young children behind which is simply heartbreaking. I am not blaming her because I have been there and know how it can feel.

It is just so, so sad that it came to that and she saw no other options.

If you are feeling distressed or suicidal there are people you can call. Samaritans is my charity of choice but please do list any you know of in comments under this post or on my facebook Unmasked page

  1. Sadly very few people really care, they prefer to think that somebody seems so happy so they don’t have to do anything.

    • Hello Karen
Thank you for your comment. Yes, I agree, it is sad how few people care. Hopefully by raising awareness we can get more people to open up and talk x
